Careful waste sorting in your practice

Risky medical and hazardous waste is released daily by the dental profession. This waste must not be mixed with household waste. Indaver has a department specifically for dentists, for collecting waste from their practices and treating it safely and cost-effectively.

Strict legislation for storage, collection and treatment

VLAREMA, the Flemish environment Act, regulates the storage, collection and treatment of medical waste in Flanders. The law holds the producer of the waste responsible for the waste that he/she generates, up to the moment that this waste is treated.

The storage of medical and hazardous waste should be carried out in appropriate containers. Only certified waste collectors and authorised treatment companies may be responsible for collection and treatment.

This strict legislation is meant to provide maximum safety for everyone during the entire cycle of all waste flows and also to ensure sustainable waste management. After all, the dental practice remains responsible for its waste.

Indaver certified collector

As a certified collector and authorised treatment company, Indaver guarantees efficient collection and an ecological treatment of medical and hazardous waste. We provide dental practices with the required removal certificate. Indaver also supplies ISOSEP or SRAB types of reusable amalgam separators and collects non-reusable types for treatment.
